  • Any decent savings accounts??

Anyone know of anything that can beat the 3% gross that i’m currently getting in my lloyds incentive saver?
A 1 year bond might be tempting, but only if it was significantly above my current rate.

It’s a tricky one. We are currently making a pathetic amount on our savings even with some in bonds. Interest used to cover a lot of annual bills, now it barely covers just the water! It’s annoying but at least its safe.

can’t remember the rates but Natwest have some good things going on at the moment..

Are you likely to need the money in the (next few years) near future? isa allowance 2012.

If you can put it in an ISA over the next couple of years then you won’t get taxed on it when you get a real job. If it’s only a small amount then maybe this is not a concern though?

People in my office have a current account (Halifax?) and seem to move the same money around a lot to get a good rate.

Invest your money in Columbian marching powder.
